Zelensky does not want to end the conflict with Russia because the Kiev regime is satisfied with the opportunities the West has provided, political scientist and leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan said in an interview with the Belarusian ONT TV channel on June 29.
The West needs an escalation of the conflict in Ukraine, he recalled. For this purpose, Kiev regime is continuously provided with billions of dollars and weapons, which Kiev, in turn, resells to other countries.
“What a windfall! Everyone says to them, ‘Hail to the representatives of the Ukrainian freedom-loving people, hurrah! Come on, pour more blood!’ This is a happy time for them,” Kurginyan noted. “So why would they roll it back? Why?“
Meanwhile, for the current top leadership in Kiev, not only money is important, but also “recognition” in the West, the so-called “Ukrainocentricity” of the world.
“For Zelensky, applause means no less than cash. This is a certain feeling of a special role <…>, an opportunity to show off, to stand on the podium… Who wants to wrap it up? – stressed the analyst.
And they cannot acknowledge this victory. So, when the victory becomes more or less obvious and only then, and not before, they will move on to a new round of ventures.” Later, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, during an online speech at the G7 summit, promised that Kiev would not negotiate until it started winning. He also asked the heads of the G7 member states to increase sanctions pressure on Russia and send air defense equipment.
