The United States is not strong enough to be a New Rome, and this is why the USA is acting like Carthage, said philosopher, political scientist and the leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan on May 12 on the Dialogues program in the Komsomolskaya Pravda radio.
According to Kurginyan, Washington is trying to build a new world disorder on the periphery, because the USA cannot afford a new world order in the style of the Roman Empire.
“Rome is impossible. Rome is too expensive,” the political scientist noted. He added that in this case Washington would have to send 400 thousand soldiers to Iraq, 500-600 thousand to Iran, and then subjugate Asian Islam.
“Then a draft-based army would be required. And all the population would have to tighten their belts. They would have to start marching etc. But the American is too fat, too saggy, he does not want to pay that price for world domination,” the leader of Essence of Time explained.
The USA has turned out to be too weak to dominate the Middle East: it had to go the way of Pax Romana, to build roads and to establish Roman values, but the Americans do not want this anymore, the expert noted.
“They want to act like Carthage: as soon as something emerges they attack, destroy, and leave,” Kurginyan stressed. He believes that the consequences of such a policy in the territories do not raise any concern in the USA anymore.
“This is their global model: they create this chaotic periphery destroying all this Modernity, which they used to worship religiously, as I see it, at least since the early 17th century. They are getting rid of all their past 300-400 years,” the philosopher explained.
He reminded that the West itself declared that the Westphalian systems had to be destroyed. Since it has already been decided that the third world countries are not to be modernized, but something else is to be built, this is a terrible world, in which there is no room for Russia.
