Poland believes that Ukraine’s revenues belong to it. Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova made this assumption in response to Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki’s statement on her Telegram channel on May 22.
“Kiev’s income is, from the point of view of the Polish leadership, already Warsaw’s income,” Zakharova wrote.
The reason for the irony was a recent statement by Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki. The head of the Polish government called the additional revenues Norway receives from gas sales unfair.
According to Morawiecki’s calculations, the excess profits of Oslo will amount to about one hundred billion euros. The Polish prime minister believes that Norway should share the profits with Ukraine.
