Russia in its current condition cannot withstand the inevitable conflict with the West; therefore, this condition must be changed, said philosopher, political scientist and the leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan on May 9 in his Victory Day address.
“This is what I am saying on this sacred day to everyone who listens to me: we need another Russia, a different Russia. The one we have now will not withstand the pressure. It will perish, with terrible consequences for the humanity and for an absolute triumph of the ultimate evil,” Kurginyan believes.
According to Kurginyan, the contemporary Russian elite cannot ensure Russia’s victory in its confrontation with the West. This elite has always made a religion of the West, and it is capable of nothing but its own enrichment.
Meanwhile, the Russian population has largely degraded, and it has become spoiled by the modern vices and consumerism. In the special operation in Ukraine, the contemporary Russia can win, but in a long-term conflict with the West, which, according to the philosopher, is inevitable, Russia in its current condition will not withstand the pressure.
“The contemporary Russia cannot withstand the pressure, strategically and for a long term, in the conflict with the West, which is unfolding and which is inevitable. This does not mean it will lose the special operation in Ukraine, about which some alarmists have already started to yell,” Kurginyan noted.
“This is about something completely different. For example, if a strong southern or eastern country begins to act concomitantly with an escalation of the West’s operations in Ukraine, contemporary Russia will lose everything,” he stressed.
Kurginyan believes that, in order to survive, Russia has to change. The changes have to affect everything: the public, the elite, education, culture, military, industry, and daily life.
