Commander of the 36th Ukrainian brigade eliminated in Mariupol

The commander of the Ukrainian 36th separate brigade of marines, Colonel Vladimir Baranyuk, has been eliminated. The People’s Militia of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) wrote about this on its Telegram on April 17.

It is reported that on the night of April 11-12, up to 50 Ukrainian soldiers, including five of the brigade’s senior officers, were killed while attempting to break through the encirclement of the Ukrainian troops near the Illyich plant in Mariupol. Another 42 people surrendered.

“During the inspection of the site of the combat, the body of the commander of the 36th separate brigade of marines Colonel Baranyuk Vladimir Anatolyevich, his personal belongings and weapons were found among the bodies,” the report reads.

Earlier it was reported that the Ilyich Iron and Steel Works of Mariupol was completely liberated from the Ukrainian nationalists.
