For a long time, Ukraine was being transformed into an anti-Russian buffer state, and neo-Nazi youth was raised in Kiev, Russian President Vladimir Putin told journalists on April 12.
According to Putin, “seedlings of nationalism in Ukraine” were cultivated beforehand, and “a clash with Moscow was inevitable.” Putin stressed that this was only “a matter of time.”
On March 3, 2022, the Russian leader said that “it is the neo-Nazis” that Russia army is fighting against in Ukraine. He noted that the Ukrainian people “were manipulated by the nationalist propaganda,” although some of them deliberately followed the Bandera Nazis.
