The US chemical weapons, which they were supposed to destroy, have been preserved, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov told reporters on March 22 following a meeting with deputies of the United Russia faction.
“The United States, unlike Russia, has not yet destroyed its stockpiles of chemical weapons,” he said.
The diplomat noted that EU countries have destroyed chemical weapons, but the United States still has them.
He explained that the USA is destroying prohibited chemical weapons at an extremely slow pace.
Ryabkov pointed out that this is happening in an artificial time delay mode, as the USA has the technology, finances and other resources to destroy its arsenals of chemical weapons more quickly.
He recalled that Russia completely destroyed its chemical weapons arsenal in 2017, which was recorded by international monitoring.
