The existence of the Soviet Union would have allowed us to avoid many conflicts in the world today arising from a unipolar world order dominated by the United States, said President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko in an interview with the Japanese broadcaster TBS, excerpts of which are available on the YouTube channel of TV channel Belarus-1 on Saturday.
“If the Soviet Union had survived until now, we could have avoided all kinds of conflicts in the world. All kinds of conflicts. The West and the USA have always had to reckon with the position of the Soviet Union,” said Lukashenko.
According to him, the USSR and Japan had good, friendly relations, even with various problems. “The world was multipolar, and one pole balanced the other. Now the reason for what is happening in the world is unipolarity, the monopolization by the United States of America of our planet,” the Belarusian leader stressed.
