All the statements the West makes regarding Russia’s invasion of Ukraine or change of its government have no real ground, Doctor of Political Sciences, Head of Political and Social Science Department at the Plekhanov Russian University of Economics, expert of the Association of Military Political Scientists Andrey Koshkin said on January 24 in a comment to Rossa Primavera News Agency.
The expert noted that recent UK statements referring to alleged “intelligence information” that Russia plans to establish a puppet government in Kiev are nothing more than political propaganda.
“Such statements are made in the framework of a propagandist strategic plan formed in Washington, while London is Washington’s right hand… They [the statements ― Rossa Primavera News Agency] are essentially absolutely political within the information agenda,” the scientist said.
The political scientist stressed that no novelty can be found in these statements, because the issue of Russia’s “invasion” of Ukraine itself is believed to be determined in the Western countries, and any discussion only goes around the extent of the alleged invasion.
“Biden leaked a word, perhaps he could not think straight… And he said ‘a minor incursion’ is possible. Zelensky felt insulted, ‘No incursion, I am the president of a great power!’ Thus, this concept is developing. Now UK says, ‘Well, it can be not a minor incursion but right up to Kiev!’” the political scientist outlined his view of the situation.
He also noted that this concept is now actively promoted globally using new information technologies.
On January 23, UK Foreign Secretary Liz Truss said that Russia has plans to establish a puppet government in Kiev to be led by a former member of Verkhovna Rada (Ukrainian parliament) Evgeny Muraev.
Muraev himself, the leader of the Nashi Ukrainian party, called these statements “nonsense and absurd” which “can hardly be understood” expressing concern that his Nash TV channel can now be under threat of being closed.
