Militia groups which responded to the call of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) President Araik Arutyunyan are coming to defend the city of Shusha in Nagorno-Karabakh, the press secretary of the republic Vahram Poghosyan wrote on October 29 on his Facebook page.
“We receive constant calls from our numerous compatriots from Yerevan and Armenian regions. The danger threatening the fortress city of Shusha has worried them, and many of them, large and small groups, are hastily coming to Artsakh to save it from the enemy,” Poghosyan noted.
According to Poghosyan, only the personal participation of the Armenian people can save Shushi and change the course of the fighting.
Artsakh President Araik Arutyunyan called to unite and defend the city of Shusha in his address on October 29. “The enemy is only a few kilometers away, five at most. The enemy’s major task is to capture Shusha and dominate it,” he stated.
