The Russian Defense Ministry sent an aircraft with the group of specialists in fighting the COVID-19 pandemic to Italy on March 22, the Ministry’s official site reports.
All the people sent to Italy are specialists in epidemiology and virology. They are also experienced in fighting the proliferation of viral infections, in working in difficult epidemiological conditions, in disinfecting buildings and watershed systems.
The specialists will come to Italy with all the necessary equipment and medicaments.
Italy is the second most affected country by the coronavirus after China. To date, 53 578 cases of the COVID-19 have been reported there. 4 825 people died, when only 6 072 people recovered.
