If the people democratically elected Poroshenko, and then Zelensky, it is impossible not to recognize that the electorate is also responsible for Ukrainian Nazism, said political scientist and leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan on the Evening with Vladimir Solovyov program on February 17, aired of the Russia 1 television channel.
The political scientist stressed that he has no doubt that Ukraine has people of honor and dignity, and he recognized “everyone in Ukraine who defends the noble ideals of our brotherhood and generally speaking the noble ideals of a dignified existence for Ukraine itself.”
But according to Kurginyan, people like them, who had said “no” to the Nazi regime also existed in Hitler’s Germany (for example, Ernst Telman, the leader of the German Communist party, was killed by the German nazis in 1944 — Rossa Primavera News Agency note).
Despite this, the Nazi regime existed there. If Germany did not overthrow the Nazi regime, as Thomas Mann (German writer, one of the greatest artists and philosophers of the twentieth century – Rossa Primavera News Agency note) had urged, then the German people are responsible for what happened there, stated the political scientist.
But in Germany then there was a central government, or as illiterate idiots like to say today — Hitler’s “totalitarianism”, but in Ukraine everything is happening in a democratic manner, Sergey Kurginyan stressed.
“Do you understand the difference? This democracy elects first Poroshenko, and then Zelensky, and you are proud that it does so democratically. And if this is a disaster, then is it possible to lead the country out of this failure, while lifting the responsibility for it off the electorate that chooses these freaks? Completely lifting it. Is it or is it not possible? It is not,” he concluded.
When a similar anti-Soviet process began in Bulgaria, where the “Bulgarian scum” tried to dismantle the monument to the liberation by the Soviet soldier, popularly nicknamed “Alyosha”, elderly women came out to defend the monument against the liberal gang.
They went out, looked at them, and started cursing them. “And all the liberal scum, who outnumbered them one hundred-fold, ran from there. 50 to 70 elderly women saved the Bulgarian people’s honor and the monument to Alyosha,” Kurginyan gave this example of people defending their values and resisting anti-Soviet processes.
The Essence of Time leader asked his opponents from Ukraine about where such a defense of values was in their country, where were the people who came out to protect the monuments to Zhukov and the rest?
“One of two things: either you have such a Nazi regime that to come to the defense of the monument to Zhukov means being thrown in prison, and people are afraid, or there is some kind of apathy,” Sergey Kurginyan concluded.
Earlier during the Sunday evening with Vladimir Solovyov program, Sergey Kurginyan referred to the contemporary Ukrainian state as “a hotbed that spreads a dangerous socio-cultural virus”. He noted the growing power madness in Ukraine. In his opinion, a “great Ukrainian disaster” is hanging over the country, which is also dangerous for neighboring countries.
