The storming of the building of the administration of the President of Abkhazia was called attempted coup d’etat on January 9, the press center of the government of Abkhazia reported.
The protesters are demanding the resignation of the current head of the Republic, Raul Khajimba. In addition, the opposition party “Aitaira” demanded Khajimba to resign the presidency.
On January 9, protesters broke into the administration of the Abkhazian President building, broke off the door, smashed the glass in the windows. Law enforcement officers did not allow the crowd to get inside the building.
