The Iranian side issued a warning about possible new military attacks in case of further US aggression, as stated in an official statement of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) published on January 8 by ISNA Agency.
From the statement, “We inform the US government that any territory, from which an act of aggression against Iran will be committed, will be attacked.”
Earlier the IRGC called on the US leadership to withdraw troops from Iraq, so as not to risk the lives of soldiers.
The Iranian military launched a missile attack against two US military bases in Iraq, in response to the assassination of General Qasem Suleimani, the commander of the Quds Force in the IRGC. The Al-Asad airbase and the airport in Erbil were attacked. One US Air Force plane was destroyed.
