It’s a beauty said President of Russia Vladimir Putin referring to the Crimean Bridge railway on December 23 while riding the train, RT’s reporting in a broadcast.
“It’s not just a bridge, it’s a beauty”, said the Russian president impressed by the structure. He also noted that moving across the Crimean Bridge in the train was smoother than in the automobile.
The roadway was laid taking the rise into account, while the railroad track was laid flat, hence the difference in sensations, said the Transport Minister of Russia Yevgeny Dietrich making comments to the president’s statement.
Dietrich also noted that the workers who built the Crimean Bridge would be able to use their experience in other similar projects. In the near future, the construction of three more bridges will be launched, one will be laid across the Sviyaga and Sura rivers, explained the minister.
The Crimean Bridge has two parallel tracks: automobile, launched back in May 2018, and railway.
Trains will begin their commute to Crimea from Moscow and St. Petersburg on December 23 and 24, 2019. Notably, train tickets have been selling fast.
