Ukrainian president Vladimir Zelensky urged to change some points of the Minsk agreements on December 12 on the 1 + 1 TV channel.
One of the points that Zelensky believes needs to be changed in the agreement is the issue of control over the state border in the conflict zone.
“But I am sure that some things we are able to change and are going to change because the transfer of the Ukrainian state border under our control after the elections is certainly not our position,” said Zelensky.
The President of Ukraine noted that four years have passed since the signing of the Minsk agreements, and during this time everything has changed. Zelensky also said that despite the fact that he and his team did not sign the document, it is necessary for him as a representative of the authorities to fulfill the conditions that the authorities had agreed to at that time.
Earlier, Zelensky at the meeting of the Normandy four in Paris had said that he insisted on the transfer of control over the border with the Russian Federation to the Ukrainian army before elections in Donbass.
