The Spokesman of the Russian Ministry of Defense Major General Igor Konashenkov spoke about the technical parameters of the militants’ drones, which were shot down in Syria, at a briefing on the peaceful resolution for Syria on September 24.
According to the general, the technical capabilities of the drones shot down near Khmeimim allowed them to fly over 150 km at an altitude of 4 km and to carry and drop small bombs.
Noting a plain look of the drones, Konashenkov recognized their high performance, high level of the technical skill of their designers, interesting technological solutions, and the navigation equipment used.
Militants’ drones are regularly shot down near the Russian airbase in the Syrian city of Khmeimim. Three drones were shot down in early September.
