Taliban (organization banned in Russia) militants attacked the Camp Shorab military base in Helmand province from different directions, Pajhwok Afghan News reports on March 1.
According to an unconfirmed report, there are casualties and wounded among Afghan forces and US troops. Afghan media reports that the attack by militants was repelled, and 9 attackers have been killed.
The Helmand Province of Afghanistan is in the southern part of the country. A large deposit of uranium is located there.
