There was no handshake between Presidents of Russia and the United States at the G20 Summit, TASS reports on November 30.
The two presidents were on opposite sides of the podium during the traditional photo session at the G-20 summit. Also, the leaders did not interact during the informal meeting.
Presidents chose not to notice each other during the conference meeting where several seats separated them. Putin had an animated conversation with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
On November 25, three Ukrainian naval vessels were detained in Russian territorial waters while trying to break through the Kerch Strait. On November 29, US President Donald Trump used his Twitter account to cancel his previously scheduled meeting with Putin, arguing that Russia continues to detain the Ukrainian sailors.
