Syrian refugees in European countries have expressed their desire to return to their homeland, a Rossa Primavera News Agency source in Syria reports on August 11.
According to the information of the Center for the Reception, Allocation and Accommodation of Refugees in Syria, 1,712,234 Syrian refugees have said that they wish to come home. The Center further specifies that the information was collected from 9 countries, and the greatest number of Syrians who wish to return to SAR live in Lebanon, 889,031 people, Turkey has 297,342 of such refugees, and Germany has 174,897.
The list of countries also includes Jordan with 149,267 Syrians seeking to return, Iraq (it has 101,233 people wanting to return), Egypt (with 99,834 people wanting to return to their homeland). Denmark has 412 such Syrians, Brazil has 149, and Austria has 68 people.
Overall, 236,121 Syrian citizens have returned to Syria from foreign countries since September 30, 2015 (this includes 70,801 women and 120,253 children).
