The advance of the Syrian government’s army on the terrorist groups who refused to agree on a truce continues, a source in Syria informed Rossa Primavera News Agency on July 5th.
The army attacks terrorist groups located at Seyda, At-Teyiba and Umm al-Mizan localities in the east of Deraa province. The main task of the Syrian army is to divide the terrorist groups, push them into the pockets and reach Nassib border crossing on the Syria-Jordan border.
The truce between the Syrian government and the opposition militants in Deraa, Quneitra and Al-Suwayda regions entered into force on July 9, 2017. The representatives of the US, Russian Federation, and Jordan also took part in reaching the truce. In July 2018, the militants once again were offered to lay down their arms, but did not agree to the talks with the government.
It is the south-west of Syria, where a large number of jihadists are concentrated at present who refused to agree to the talks with the government. Islamists possess the US anti-tank missile systems, artillery and a large amount of Western heavy arms.
