Local residents of the Syrian city of Douma deny the chemical attack claims, told a US journalist Pearson Sharp in his report on One America News Network on April 16.
Pearson Sharp said that his filming crew visited the Syrian city of Douma. Journalists examined the place where, according to the claims of some foreign media, the chemical attack took place, and talked to the local residents.
Journalists interviewed 40 local passerbies. Most of the people interviewed claimed that they were in close proximity to the place of the alleged attack on April 7.
“When I asked them what they thought the chemical attack was, they told me, all of them told me that it was staged by the rebels who were occupying the town at that time. They said that it was a fabrication, that it was a hoax, ” said Pearson Sharp. “The residents told me that the terrorists staged this attack to get the Western powers to attack the Syrian army, and get them off their backs and so they can escape. That story was told to us by numerous people. Many people told this story. “
US journalists visited Douma’s city hospital, where they spoke to the doctors. “He (one of the doctors – Rossa Primavera News Agency’s note) was on staff, on duty at the time of the attack, I asked him what he saw that day,” said Sharp. According to what the doctor was saying, “a bunch of strangers burst into the room, screaming that there was a chemical attack.” The hospital worker explained: “They brought in, allegedly, victims and they started hosing them down with water, and, so, the doctors, they freaked out and they grabbed the hoses and started helping … When they washed everybody off, they packed up and they left.”
Commenting on the report from the scene, Sharp noted that he also talked to the head physician of the hospital. The doctor said that there were no deaths from the toxic agents, and no signs of their use were observed.
On April 7, 2018, leading Western politicians and the media made a number of statements accusing the government of Syria for its use of chemical weapons against the residents of the Syrian city of Douma and “rebels” who controlled the city that day. White Helmets organization, which allegedly carries out humanitarian mission in Syria, was the source of the information.
The coalition forces of the United States and Great Britain launched a missile attack on civilian and military targets of Syria in order to ”weaken the chemical weapons capacity of the Assad regime” despite the fact that the investigation of the incident was not carried out by the experts from the international Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW), ignoring the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation’s warning regarding the staging of a chemical attack by the White Helmets, and the statement made by the Russian Centre for the Reconciliation of Opposing Sides in Syria on April 9 regarding the lack of signs of the alleged use of chemical weapons.
Earlier, Rossa Primavera News Agency reported that Russia plans to reveal the actors who took part in filming the chemical attack provocation in the city of Douma at the next meeting of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) in Hague.
