The Ukrainian army is drawing heavy military equipment to the contact line.
On October 18, the Ukrainian military opened fire on the area near the Yasinovataya water filtration plant, where the OSCE representatives were installing CCTVs at that moment, with 82mm and 120mm mortars. Fire came from Avdeevka controlled by the Ukrainian forces.
The Ukrainian side closed the “Novotroitskoye” checkpoint for the civil transport at 5 pm. The witnesses informed that a column of tanks and infantry fighting vehicles was moving towards the checkpoint.
Donetsk People’s Republic intelligence noted the arrival of 6 tanks, 8 122mm Gvozdika self-propelled artillery vehicles (SPAV) and 2 152mm Akatsiya SPAVs in the area of Kurakhovo (20 km west of Donetsk). In addition, the drones used to adjust the artillery fire became highly active in the area of Mariinka. The reconnaissance drones also became highly active in the area of Gorlovka.
There is information on the arrival of tanks and Pion self-propelled howitzers in the area of Debaltsevo, near Mironovsky. A column consisting of 4 Grad multiple launch rocket systems and 4 KAMAZ trucks was noted in the area of Kodema. 8 tanks and SPAVs, and 6 URAL trucks were spotted in the area of Semigorye.
According to the recent data, the Ukrainian military violated the ceasefire 50 times on October 17. The Ukrainian army opened fire on 13 DPR villages and towns with tanks, mortars, infantry fighting vehicles, armored personnel carriers, grenade launchers, and small arms.
On October 17, 2 peaceful residents of the Petrovsky district in Donetsk were injured as a result of the shelling conducted by the 92nd Independent motorized infantry brigade of the Ukrainian army.
