A missile strike against Syrian army mortar crew on Golan Hights was reported on 28 June by RIA Novosti news agency.
According to the IDF Press Service report, the strike was carried out in response to a shell, which hit the Israeli part of Golan Hights. The shell was supposedly fired from Syrian government forces side. No servicemen from both sides got hurt as a result of the incident.
Israel repeatedly attacked Syrian territory. Israel explained such actions as its will to prevent pro-Iranian organization Hezbollah from obtaining weapons from Syria to use them in attacks against Israeli territory. However, for the last several days Israel systematically strikes government forces in Syria.
