Powerful explosion rocked the Kalininski district of Donetsk, a source in the Donetsk City Administration informed a Rossa Primavera News Agency reporter.
The explosion occurred in the building of the Mikhail Tugan-Baranovsky Donetsk University of Economy and Trade.
“A terrorist attack was committed in the University of Trade on Shevchenko Avenue. The University assembly hall was partially destroyed, the library is under debris,” a source in the Administration of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) Head informed.
According to Interfax, people were killed and wounded in the incident. The number of victims is being specified. Medical care is being provided to the injured persons.
“According to preliminary data, the incident is considered to be a terrorist attack targeted against the civilians of the Republic. According to preliminary data, it could be the explosion of a planted improvised explosive device,” a source in the DPR Emergency Services said to Interfax. The probable increase in the activity of the Ukrainian reconnaissance groups in the DPR was reported on June 27.
