On January 31st, Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) People’s Militia Senior lieutenant (callsign Kontrabas) commented on the shellings conducted by the Ukrainian army.
During the past two days, unsystematic individual incidents of artillery shells and mortar rounds striking densely populated areas, as well as areas near schools and kindergardens, and marketplaces in Donetsk were registered. “Such strikes cannot be accidental; they are not the result of some mistake by Ukrainian army gunners or artillery fire correction personnel,” Kontrabas explained.
Since 2014, Kiev authorities and General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine maintain a consistent policy of terror against the population of Donbass. And this time, Kiev junta started another round of terrorist acts against the civilian population of DPR. And this was done against the backdrop of a challenging socio-economic environment in Ukraine.
The Ukrainian military are shelling the frontline territories of DPR for the past two days without break. Houses and apartment buildings, schools, markets and infrastructure including gas pipelines and power lines are being shelled. There are killed and injured among the civilian population.
