During the night, the Ukrainian army fired over 250 shells at the front-line territory of Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), including on the Gorlovka, Donetsk, and Mariupol directions, a source in the DPR Defense Ministry informed Donetsk News Agency today.
From 6.30 PM till midnight, Kiev junta’s punitive forces fired 126 82mm and 104 120mm mortar shells at Spartak, Veseloye, Kominternovo, Kulikovo, Oktyabr, Yasnoe, Zaytsevo, Sahanka villages, Dokuchaevsk, Yasinovataya towns as well as the area of the former Donetsk Airport and the area of ‘Yu. Gagarin’ coal mine near Gorlovka town. The enemy shelled from the positions near Shirokino, Vodyanoe, Opytnoe, Peski, Gnutovo, Berezovoe, Novotroizkoe, Zhovanak, Lastochkino villages and Avdeevka town using mortars, grenade launchers, and small arms.
From 1.30 AM till 5.40 AM, the punitive forces shelled Dokuchaevsk town and Kominternovo village in the south of DPR. The enemy fired 26 122mm artillery shells and around 19 120mm mortar shells at the town. The shelling was conducted from Berezovoe village. Kominternovo village was shelled by 82mm mortars from the positions near occupied Gnutovo village.
Two houses, No. 15 on Valovaya Street and No.15 on Pobedy Street in Yasnoe township, were damaged in the shelling of Dokuchaevsk area. The heavy artillery shelling by the Ukrainian military caused a fire at the rock dust production factory in Dokuchaevsk. Information about the destruction and victims is being specified.
Late in the night of May 30th Ukrainian military also shelled ‘Yasinovatskiy’ checkpoint by heavy artillery.
