DPR General Staff: Ukrainian military is heavily shelling towns and villages of DPR

The Ukrainian military has launched heavy shelling of cities and villages of Donetsk People’s Republic, including by heavy artillery, according to DPR Deputy Defense Minister Eduard Basurin.

“The Kiev regime has issued an illegal order to shell our territory. The military has launched heavy shelling of DPR army’s positions and civil buildings in Belaya Kamenka, Novolaspa, Starognatovka and Starolaspa area. The military has used banned heavy artillery, including against Aleksandrovka and Maryinka.”

RIA Novosti reports that 12 people were handed over to DPR. Most of them have spent over a year in captivity.

DPR Defense Ministry has informed that the exchange will continue tomorrow.
