There was no reason, except for betrayal, to surrender the town of Shusha in Nagorno-Karabakh to the Azerbaijani army, said political scientist, leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan on January 23 on the Right to Know! TV program on the TVC channel.
Kurginyan recalled military experts’ forecasts that Azerbaijan could not seize the town of Shusha, which was under the control of the Nagorno-Karabakh army in the autumn of 2020. Against the forecasts, the city of Shusha, located on a rock, was taken. According to the political scientist, this situation can only be explained by betrayal on the part of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
Having taken back Shusha from the Azerbaijani forces, the Nagorno-Karabakh army was ordered to retreat in order to escape the shelling of the town by Armenian Iskanders (mobile short-range ballistic missile system). So, the city had already been under the control of the Nagorno-Karabakh army, but later it was forced to leave Shusha by order of the traitor Pashinyan. As soon as the army left, the surrender of Shusha was announced. This is how Kurginyan described the events in Karabakh.
“Now all Armenian sources say that the Armenian army did not participate at all in the defense of Karabakh and the weapons, which different parties sent to Karabakh (I will not enumerate them), was blocked on Armenian territory and was not delivered to Karabakh! Some volunteers managed to arrive there, but in general mother Armenia did not support Karabakh,” said Kurginyan.
The political scientist added that it is likely that Pashinyan became Armenian Prime Minister using not only Turkish money, but Azerbaijani money as well. According to him, the surrender of Karabakh’s territory was the main goal that Ankara and Baku set before Pashinyan.
Citing Armenian sources, Kurginyan said that the Azerbaijani leadership gave certain rewards to Pashinyan’s family because Pashinyan had fulfilled his obligations to Turkey and Azerbaijan.
Despite the betrayal of the Armenian and Nagorno-Karabakh top officials, the Karabakh army managed to push back the offensive of the joint Turkish-Azerbaijani forces, said the political scientist. He noted that this is striking as well as the death of five thousand young Armenian volunteers, who defended their motherland.
“I wrote not once about the Armenian sin meaning that a mad Armenia elected the traitor and murderer Pashinyan. And it still cannot do anything with this,” concluded the leader of the Essence of Time movement.
