Kurginyan: The pandemic aggravates all global conflicts

21.04.2020, Moscow.

The coronavirus pandemic has aggravated all the global processes and conflicts, the leader of the Essence of Time movement and political scientist Sergey Kurginyan said on April 19 on the air of the Sunday Evening with Vladimir Solovyov TV program on the Russia One channel.

“Whether or not we consider this coronavirus to be artificial or natural, it doesn’t matter. Against the background of the pandemic, we are witnessing all kinds of processes: economic, psychological, military and any other. Because, as we have discussed, this results in aggravation. In the modern world, it provokes the aggravation of all imaginable and unimaginable conflicts,” the political scientist said.

For instance, the crisis in Chinese-American relations has only become worse as a result of US statements about the “Chinese” coronavirus and respective damage claims, amounting to $20 trillion, against Beijing.

“At risk to be robbed, China adopts its own response measures and not only presents its alternative versions on the coronavirus origins, but takes advantage of the situation”, said Kurginyan.

The political scientist also brought attention to economic issues.

“If the price of all these assets is going down to such a degree, the question is who will buy them up? If there is such an economic disaster, it is an opportunity to go bankrupt for the weak and an opportunity to get rich for strong. This is the real economic process,” the political scientist stressed.

In the context of aggravated global processes, the question arose, what position Russia will take and how the state will respond to the situation.
