Russia will be torn apart if we fail to again become a superpower capable of promoting a more fair world order; we have no other options, said the leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan on October 29 on the air of the Time Will Show program on the Russia One channel.
The political scientist noted that all mathematical models predict a very high risk of war between Russia and the West during the period of 2020-2021. He clearly pointed to the only way to avoid this risk, to gain an “adequate understanding of the situation and to make Russia stronger.”
“If Russia is strong, no war will start. This, however, must includes strength in all its facets: cultural, ideological etc.,” the expert stressed.
According to Kurginyan, the modern Russian elite, which formed after the collapse of the USSR in 1991, “desperately” wants to become part of the Western world, while a reasonable assessment of the USA’s and Europe’s attitude towards Russia leaves no room for our country in the current world order.
According to the political scientist, a very high-ranking “strategically important delegation” visited Russia in 2007, which notified our elite that entering the Western world could only be made piecemeal, after the state disintegrates. The idea of the foreign strategists was to transform Russia into “25 enclaves under control by different powers,” and they defined the way these pseudo-states should be organized, and which contemporary states should control them.
“Therefore, all Russia can do, if it wants to exist, is to realize that there is no room for it in this world order. It has to return to its superpower role, that is to build another order, which will provide room both for itself and for others,” Sergey Kurginyan stressed.
The discussion in the studio took place on the wake of recent worrisome events, which can be interpreted as an escalation of military pressure on Russia. Examples of this are the USA’s statement regarding its withdrawal from the bilateral Intermediate Nuclear Forces (INF) Treaty and the large-scale Trident Juncture NATO exercises near Russia’s borders.
