US President Donald Trump, in spite of all his rhetoric as if he were the emperor of the world, is in a complicated entanglement of contradictions inside his team, and everything under him is insecure, the leader of the Essence of Time movement, political scientist and philosopher Sergey Kurginyan said on December 12 on the Conversation with a Sage program on Radio Zvezda.
A potential sticking point is Venezuela. Trump escalates military threat against it, but he underestimates potential consequences. Probably he expects a success like the one that took place when the US invaded Panama in 1989. However, the population there was slightly above one million, and the terrain was quite simple, while Venezuela has 40 million people and the jungle.
“There is the jungle. They (the Americans – Rossa Primavera News Agency) will successfully deal with it at the beginning. And then a long-term massacre will follow,” Sergey Kurginyan noted.
Also, he pointed out different interests among Trump’s supporters. Secretary of State Marco Rubio expects his future election campaign to be funded by Cuban and Venezuelan emigrants living in the US. Vice President JD Vance relies on different forces. And various media figures are waging a pro- or anti-Israeli campaign depending on their financing. Trump himself, the political scientist notes, is in the center of this mess of conflicting interests.
“He is in a condition when he behalves like an absolute emperor of the world while everything is unstable under him,” Kurginyan noted.
In view of Trump’s insecure situation, the political scientist called naïve any plans of Russian pro-Western liberals to reach long-term agreements with the current American leader. He stressed that Trump and the globalist West are completely opposite things.
“Seeking an agreement with Trump means seeking an agreement with a person who will stand trial tomorrow. And when the globalist community brings him to trial, do you think all the agreements with us will remain effective?” Sergey Kurginyan urged to consider.
Another reason why there is no sense to come to any agreements with Trump is the US defense concept aiming to radically transform Europe. The US top officials plan to expel liberals from the European politics and to promote ultra-conservative militarists willing to have a confrontation in the east. And Trump cannot afford any actions as he also has to observe certain limitations.
“He cannot give away Europe. This means he has to set it against the Russians. And it is possible to set it against the Russians. And here we come to the key parameter of this defense concept. Why Europe is bad? Because it is liberal. But it must be ultra-rightist. Of course, if 5% of its budget goes to war, if they all become mobilized, if they build plants, then they need people of the Reich for it,” the expert noted.
Trump’s US wants to replace the minority campaigners, who fear a shell passing by, with militarists, who will say Drang nach Osten. A similar thing is planned for Japan, Sergey Kurginyan warned.
