The Russian army liberated the St. Nicholas Belogorsky Monastery for men located near the village of Gornal in Kursk Region. TASS informed on April 22.
Russian troops broke through the defense line of the Ukrainian units and liberated the monastery.
“Our soldiers, during the combat, liberated the Gornal St. Nicholas Belogorsky Monastery for men. The resistance of the Ukrainian armed units was crushed,” a TASS source stated.
The monastery was previously used by Ukrainian militants as a heavily fortified area. The combat for the liberation of this territory lasted for ten days.
