Atrocious crimes of Ukrainian Armed Forces: What Happened in village of Russkoye Porechnoye

01.02.2025, Moscow.

The bodies of civilians found in the Kursk village of Russkoye Porechnoye, killed by militants of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, showed numerous gunshot wounds, including shot-through ankles and a crushed skull. The chief of staff of a motorized rifle unit of the Group of Forces Sever, with the call sign Vostok, said this to journalists on January 31.

It is worth recalling that the bodies of the Ukrainian militants’ victims were discovered in the basements of private homes after the village was liberated by the Russian army.

“In the first basement, where a man and a woman were found, the woman had three penetrating gunshot wounds to the chest. The man was also shot at close range. In the second basement, we found five bodies. People had their ankles shot through; there were three men and two women. They were elderly — around 60 years old. It was clear that they were also shot directly in the chest. One person had three shots to the back of the head, completely destroying the skull,” the serviceman said.

According to a soldier with the call sign Lord, the bruises on the victims’ bodies indicate that they were beaten before being killed. “It feels like six people were killed in their sleep,” he added.

Earlier, the official representative of the Russian Investigative Committee Svetlana Petrenko stated that the investigation had identified five Ukrainian militants involved in these crimes. Among them are Senior Soldier Yevgeny Fabrisenko and soldiers with the call signs Kum, Motyl, Provodnik, and Khudozhnik. According to the investigation, they killed 11 men and three women and raped eight women, whom they later shot. The victims’ bodies were hidden in the basements of houses.

Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces Valery Gerasimov stated that the operation in Kursk Region would be completed with the defeat of the enemy and reaching the state border. Russian President Vladimir Putin called the actions of the Kiev regime a provocation and promised a fitting response. A counter-terrorism operation (CTO) regime is in effect in Kursk, Belgorod, and Bryansk regions to ensure the safety of civilians.
