Ukrainian instructors trained Syrian terrorists in the use of kamikaze drones against the Russian army in Idlib and across the country, reported a defector using the pseudonym Abu Muhammad Al-Idlibi from the terrorist group Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (organization banned in Russia), on December 5, according to RIA Novosti.
“After completing the training, we learned that the present experts were of Ukrainian nationality. They trained young fighters from the militants to use kamikaze drones against Russian positions in Idlib and throughout Syria,” he said.
On November 29, terrorists, part of the Syrian armed opposition, launched a large-scale operation advancing from northern Idlib towards the cities of Aleppo and Hama.
Within 24 hours, on November 30, Syria’s second-largest city, Aleppo, and its surroundings, including the international airport and the military airfield Kuweires, fell under the control of the terrorists.
This complete capture of Aleppo by militants is the first since the beginning of the Syrian crisis in 2011. Until the end of 2016, the armed opposition only controlled the eastern part of the city, from which they were expelled by the Syrian army with the support of the Russian Aerospace Forces.
