Russia sent over 30 notes to the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) on Kiev’s systematic use of toxic substances against the Russian Armed Forces, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Kirill Lysogorsky said on November 25 as the head of the Russian delegation at the OPCW conference.
Lysogorsky emphasized that Russia has sent information to the OPCW Technical Secretariat confirming Ukraine’s use of prohibited chemical substances. These materials have been sent for review to the States Parties to the Convention on the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons, as well as to the Security Council and the UN General Assembly.
“More than thirty such notes have already been sent, and two more notes were sent recently, literally in October and November, confirming the use of prohibited chemical substances by the Ukrainian militants,” Lysogorsky said.
Ukrainian armed units have been using toxic substances against Russian soldiers practically since the first days of Russia’s special military operation in Ukraine. For example, there is video evidence of a Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicle (UAVs) dropping a grenade, presumably with a toxic substance, on Russian soldiers.
