Ukrainian army units are surrounded near the borders of the Kherson region

16.09.2022, Kherson.

Ukrainian militants have been encircled near the borders of the Kherson region near the Ingulets river, deputy head of the region’s military and civil administration of the Kherson region Kirill Stremousov told RIA Novosti on September 16.

“The water level has risen in the Ingulets river, disrupting the crossings built by Ukrainian troops from the right bank to the left bank near the borders of the Kherson region. Now they are virtually left without supplies and find themselves in a tactical encirclement, pinned to the water. They are in dire straits there,” Stremousov said.

Stremousov also said that the region had sufficient forces to respond to the Ukrainian army, and that there was no threat of a repeat landing of Ukrainian landing troops.
