LPR ambassador to Russia: Azot plant in Severodonetsk is being mopped up

03.06.2022, Moscow.

The territory of the Azot plant in Severodonetsk is being mopped up of the remnants of the Ukrainian armed units by Allied Forces servicemen. The LPR ambassador to Russia Rodion Miroshnik wrote this on his Telegram channel on June 3.

The diplomat stressed that the residential areas of the city are fully under the control of the allied troops. At the moment, the outskirts and the territory of the Azot chemical plant in Severodonetsk are being mopped up.

According to the ambassador, there are bunkers and bomb shelters on the territory of the plant that allow the remnants of the Ukrainian armed units “to hide and make timid attacks.” The speed of mopping up the industrial zone is limited by the possible presence of civilian hostages, as well as tanks with chemicals.

Employees of the enterprise told the LPR troops in detail about the location of the facilities at the plant. “The mopping-up is proceeding in a planned and methodical manner, there will be no second Azovstal here,” Miroshnik stressed. He said that all Ukrainian militants will be captured or killed in the near future.

On June 1, the Ukrainian militants detonated a tank containing acid at the Azot plant, which resulted in civilian casualties.
