DPR Headquarters: Tochka-U missile strike by Ukrainian army on Donetsk kills about 20 people

Twenty people were killed and nine wounded as a result of the Tochka-U missile attack against Donetsk by the Ukrainian army, RT Russia wrote on its Telegram channel on March 14, citing data from the DPR headquarters.

Earlier, on the night of March 12 to 13, the Ukrainian army launched a targeted massive artillery strike on the building of the central city hospital in Volnovakha. The Ukrainian army used Grad rocket systems and tanks, realizing that there were about 500 civilians being treated in the medical buildings. As a result of the attack by the Ukrainian army, at least six civilians who were not involved in the combat died. The hospital building sustained significant damage.

At an extraordinary meeting of the Russian Security Council in Moscow, chaired by Russian President Vladimir Putin, a decision was made to recognize the independence of the LPR and DPR on February 21.

Following the meeting of the Security Council, the Russian leader addressed Russian citizens in which he said that he considered it necessary to recognize the independence of the DPR and LPR. He noted that the world prefers not to notice the persecution and genocide in the Donbass, where not a day goes by without shelling of the territory and killing civilians.

On February 24, Russian leader Vladimir Putin announced a special operation in Ukraine at the request of the leaders of the republics of Donbass for help. He stressed that Moscow does not intend to occupy Ukraine; its goal is the demilitarization and denazification of the country.
