Sergey Kurginyan: All Western elites believe Russia has lost the Cold war

29.11.2017, Russia.

The entire Western establishment believes that Russia lost the Сold War, the Left-wing patriotic movement the Essence of Time leader Sergey Kurginyan said on November 28 on Channel One on the Time will Show TV program, Rossa Primavera News Agency reports.

Discussing the Western sanctions against Russian athletes, the TV-show host addressed the leader of the Essence of Time movement with the following question, “If a country that declares that we [Russia – Rossa Primavera News Agency editor] are the main challenge to its global interests, maybe we should change our response from the issues of sports to that of addressing the challenge [by the West]?

In his reply Sergey Kurginyan explained that the entire Western elite perceives Russia as the enemy, who has lost the war and thus under the terms of surrender, Russia should not interfere into the affairs of “its contiguous territories” and provide for them.

“The entire Western establishment is confident that the Soviet Union – Russia has lost the Cold War … You are an enemy in their eyes, who lost the war”, Kurginyan said.

According to the leader of the Essence of Time movement, “All the discussions on Russia choosing a more peaceful policy so as to no longer be a target for destruction, is a complete lie.”

Answering the host’s question, “Did Russia lose the Cold War?”, Kurginyan said, “We did not lose the Cold War,”

In the opinion of Sergey Kurginyan, one should understand, that the entire Western elite believes in the opposite point of view.

“They [the Western elite – Rossa Primavera News Agency editor] treat any overplay and any resistance as an attempt to change the results of the Cold War,” Kurginyan added.

The Essence of Time movement has published a book, Ukrainism: Who constructed it and why?. The authors followed the centuries-long program of planting the anti-Russian national identity in the territory of modern Ukraine. The introduction to this book contains Sergey Kurginyan’s analysis of the Chatham House – the London-based independent policy institute – 2015 report: The Russian Challenge. In his analysis, Sergei Kurginyan shows that the report was the ideological justification of the new cold war and that it was Russia’s rejection to recognize itself as the losing party in the Cold War (which lead to the collapse of the USSR) has triggered the current hostile policy of the United States and its allies.
