Ukrainian military shells DPR village: four killed

Four Donetsk People’s Republic soldiers were killed as the result of Ukrainian army shelling of the DPR village of Leninskoe, located in the southern part of the republic, the DPR People’s Militia Spokesperson Eduard Basurin said on February 8, the Donetsk News Agency reports.

Aftermath of night shelling of Yasinovataya by Ukrainian army (photos)

The Ukrainian army shelled downtown Ysinovataya with 122mm artillery during the last night, December 20. The enemy intentionally shelled the residential area. 14 houses, mostly multiple-storey buildings, were damaged or destroyed. Two civilians were killed, and 3 people were injured. Dozens of residents had to stay in the flooded apartments damaged by the fragments of the shells. Many of the apartments have broken window glass and frames. A kindergarten and school are just opposite two buildings in the photo below.

Ukrainian army fires almost 1,500 shells on DPR territory within a week

The Ukrainian Armed Forces fired 1,490 shells on the territory of the Donetsk People’s Republic (the DPR) between 6 and 13 November, Ruslan Yakubov, the head of the Republican office in the Joint Centre for Ceasefire Control and Coordination, informed on November 13, Donetsk News Agency reports. He also added that the total weight of the fired munitions is approximately 18 tonnes.

Ukrainian infantry fighting vehicle blown up by own mine

One Ukrainian army serviceman was killed and two wounded when an infantry fighting vehicle belonging to the 108th battalion, 10th mountain assault brigade, was blown up near the Ukrainian-controlled village of Popasnaya of Lugansk region, Lieutenant Colonel Andrey Marochko of the Lugansk People’s Militia reported during a briefing, LuganskInformCenter reports.
