Attacks on Venezuelan government buildings are part of a “coup plot”

On June 28, the Venezuelan government stated that the attacks on government buildings are part of a “coup plot”, TeleSur News Channel reports.

Accusing “extremist wings of the opposition supported by the United States” of the attacks on the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Justice, and the Supreme Court, the Venezuelan government called for citizens to stand guard of the constitutional order.

EU is concerned with the fate of detained demonstrators

A spokesperson of the European Foreign Ministry urged to respect human rights and release the detained protesters, the Interfax news agency reports on June 13.

According to Brussels, Russian citizens exercise their rights by holding rallies and demonstrations. “These fundamental rights are enshrined in the Russian constitution and we expect them to be protected, not eroded,” the statement says.

Large scale rally demanding the resignation of the president held in Brazil

On Sunday in Sao Paulo, Brazil’s largest city, a rally-concert to demand early presidential elections and the resignation of Michel Temer, the head of state, was held. According to the organizers, about 100 thousand people took part in the action. On June 5, the Universo Online (UOL), a Brazilian Internet portal reported.

Brazilian musicians and dance groups entertained gathered protesters with singing and dancing. On the stage, artists called for early elections and chanted, “Down with Temer!“

Libyan scenario being prepared for Venezuela. Hugo Chavez’s house set on fire

On May 29, Izvestia, a Russian daily newspaper, reported two new deaths which happened during street clashes between the authorities and the right-wing opposition in Venezuela.

According to different sources; since the demonstrations of the opposition began in April, the number of victims has increased to 57 people. On May 27, the largest protest action took place in Caracas. 160 thousand people took part in this action.

Administrative buildings were attacked. The house of Hugo Chavez, the leader of the Bolivarian Revolution, was set on fire.
