Russian Investigative Committee launched a criminal investigation against a number of Ukrainian military officers

Russian Federation Investigative Committee has launched a criminal investigation against Ukrainian military, including the Ukrainian Defense Minister Stepan Poltorak, Ukrainian Defense Ministry General Staff head Viktor Muzhenko, as well as Ukrainian MP Oleg Lyashko on cases of prohibited means and methods of warfare, according to the official representative of Russian Investigative Committee Vladimir Markin.

All of them are being suspected of committing crimes under part 1 of article 356 and article 357 of Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (using banned means and methods of warfare and genocide).

Exhibition of works of photojournalists murdered by Ukrainian army to take place in Donetsk

An exhibition of works of photojournalists who were killed during Kiev junta’s punitive operation in Donbass will take place in Donetsk on September 12, on the occasion of the International Day of Journalists’ Solidarity. The International Day of Journalists’ Solidarity  is marked on September 8 each year – the day Czechoslovakian journalists Julius Fuchik, the author of Reports Written Under the Noose“, was executed by Nazis in 1943.

We will hold a photo exhibition of the works of correspondents who have died in Donbass doing their duty,” Sergey Kondrykinsky, the leader of the “Young Republic” civil society organization, has said. “Photos made by Andrey Stenin will be among the works exhibited.

Central square in Kishinev is filled with protesters again

10.09.2015 00:01, Kishinev.

Approximately a thousand people have gathered on the square before the government building in Moldova. The stage has been raised here. Protest leaders are rising to the stage and give speeches. The contact group of the civil DA (“Dignity and Truth”) civil platform is prepared to start the negotiations with the President of the country Nikolay Timofti, Parliament speaker Andrian Kandu and prime-minister Valery Strelets.

The number of tents has increased; people bring food to the protesters and raise money for them.

The attempts of the council to meet with Timofti and Kandu failed on Wednesday afternoon. One of the DA platform members, former MP Valentin Dolganyuk has noted during the negotiations with presidential adviser Vlad Tsurkanu that “the fact that the government is not willing to hear out the protesters might cause even greater social tension.”

“Right Sector” leader is preparing protests due to arrests in Odessa

The leader of the extremist “Right Sector” organization Dmitry Yarosh has threatened to launch massive protests due to the arrest of his followers in Odessa.

Yarosh has called all citizens of Ukraine and all “Right Sector” members to prepare for active civil disobedience campaigns. He considers the arrest of his followers as governmental repressions.

Kiev junta continues to get rid of cultural monuments

09.09.2015, Kiev.

The new Kiev government, having adopted a “decommunization” law, continues in its search for “relics” of Soviet history. This time one of the highest monuments in the world was recognized as subject to demolition – “Motherland” which was built on the right bank of Dnepr river in honor of the victory of the Soviet people over the Nazi Germany. The monument continues to be an architectural landmark of Kiev.

The list of architectural enemies of the new government includes the People’s Friendship Arch and “Dinamo” stadium which are suggested to be replaced by the Pantheon of Glory to immortalize the memory of the militants-participants of the punitive operation in Donbass.

Protests in Kishinev continue, the tent camp is growing

09.09.2015, Kishinev.

The protests against the current government in Kishinev continue for the fourth day in a row and are growing. The tent camp next to the government building has grew over the night and now includes up to 250 tents. Sympathizers bring food and hot drinks to the protesters. The participants intent to protest until the authorities comply with the demands of the DA (“Dignity and Truth”) civil platform.

The head of the press center of the rally, Andrey Nastase, declared that the President of the country Nikolay Timofti has made a big mistake when he refused a dialogue with the protesters contact group.

The authorities are outlaws from this day on. Now everybody knows we don’t have a president, a primer-minister and a speaker. Everybody knows these are just puppets! We are a great power together. We will protest on, fight for the resignation of the government, for early parliamentary elections and an elections of the new head of the country through nation-wide voting.

Russian Investigative Committee: Yatsenyuk, Yarosh, Tyagnibok fought in Chechnya against Russia

The key figures of right-wing radical nationalist movements of “maidan” fought in conflicts in Transdniestria, Nagorno-Karabakh, South Ossetia and other war-zones, according to the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation. Chairman of The Investigative Committee of the Prosecutor General’s Office Alexander Bastrykin has stated:

Fighting there, they mastered both conventional and ideological warfare that they would rely on in destabilization of political landscape in Ukraine. Case files contain an interview with Aleksandr Muzychko aka Sashko-Bily, one of the leader of UNA-UNSO (Ukrainian National Assembly – Ukrainian People’s Self-Defence) radical nationalist movement. He gave the interview in early 90’s in Chechnya. He said: “If we live through this war (meaning hostilities in the Chechen Republic), we won’t have anything to fear…, we will come and bring about order in Ukraine”. Exactly as it turned out to be, they came and brought “order” which has claimed thousands of lives already. 

The leader of far-right organization “Right Sector” Dmitry Yarosh, as well as the former Verkhovnaya Rada (Ukrainian Parliament – ed.) MP, Presidential elections candidate Oleg Tyagnibok – “all of them are being charged with participating in crimes against the Russian Military and the Internal Troops of the Russian Ministry for Internal Affairs during the counter-terrorist operation which took place in the Chechen Republic in 1994-1995.

Kiev Chief Architect proposes to demolish People’s Friendship Arch

Kiev city Chief Architect Sergey Tselovalnik has proposed to demolish the capital’s People’s Friendship Arch.

The media report that Tselovalnik has called the arch “useless” and said that sees no “artistic value in this construction“.

He has offered to create a Pantheon of Glory of the fighters for Ukraine’s independence instead, where the “remains of great people, starting from Vladimir the Great, will rest“.
