Kurginyan: The US is pushing Europe into crisis out of fear of losing dominance

The USA is pushing Europe into crisis out of fear of losing its global leadership, said political scientist, philosopher and the leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan on September 17 on the Right to Know program in the TVC channel.

Kurginyan reminded that, according to the US strategic doctrine, a country that can challenge the USA’s global dominance is the greatest threat to the USA. To this end, it needs to have an appropriate economic level and overall potential.

According to the political scientist, Europe can well be such a threat if it unites with Russia.

“It is absolutely clear that if Europe grows stronger and it combines with Russian resources, then many tricky things can happen. If industry is huge and resources are vast, then the USA can be left behind,” Kurginyan explained.

Also, if such a convergence takes place, the US military potential in Europe would also be threatened.

“If friendship comes there, then why defend Europe against the terrible Russians after the Russians become good? Why keep garrisons, why keep US troops there?” the philosopher believes.

Kurginyan noted that in this context it is irrelevant to the US what kind of a political force is at power in the competing country.

“It does not matter whether the country is democratic or authoritarian. This is not the point. If it can challenge the US, it is the main enemy,” Kurginyan explained.
