Kurginyan: Everything progressive has been removed from post-Soviet reality

The colonizers seized everything progressive from the post-Soviet reality, leaving only those industries that were not threatening their dominance, primarily raw materials, said the leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan on August 25 in the latest issue of the original program Destiny on the movement’s YouTube channel.

“When colonizing certain countries, the colonizers — also known as “aliens” — have always allowed the local native rajas — also known as the local aliens — to enrich themselves through the development of industries with the lower technological component, such as raw materials, in order not to compete in the high tech sectors of the economy. As well as those sectors of the economy that had been associated with a rather violent redistribution of assets,” noted the analyst.

He recalled how a team of reformers actively destroyed entire sectors of the country’s economy, arguing that these were “inefficient” industries that the country no longer needs.

“In order to strengthen the dependence on the West, everything else, I repeat, was put under the knife with various justifications: too expensive, too burdened by the Soviet planned economy model, and so on. And, of course, all these were just a pretext,” recalled Kurginyan.

According to him, the Soviet period was marked by certain technological achievements, and the post-Soviet period was marked by set backs.

“Innovation is seized not because of its Soviet past, but because the goal is to maintain a state of dependent colonial degradation,” specified the expert.

“As for the Soviet nature of innovation, since the anti-Soviet trajectory of innovation clearly leads to hell… <…>, then the fight against Soviet economic model was a fight against any alternative to what? Hell,” said Kurginyan.

According to Sergey Kurginyan, such an alternative had been possible. Perhaps it was not so clear and imperfect, but it was possible nevertheless.

It should have been protected as something precious, instead of feeling inferior regarding the different look of this alternative … — Look as what? As a trajectory leading to hell?” concluded Kurginyan.
