04.08.2022, Moscow.

The Central African Republic (CAR) decided to increase the number of Russian military instructors operating on its territory by 3,000 people, the head of the Officers Union for International Security Alexander Ivanov stated, RIA Novosti reported on August 4.

According to him, the Central African Republic authorities have already sent a corresponding notification to the United Nations.

Ivanov noted that the matter concerns the increase in the number of Russian instructors: from 1,135 to 4,135. He stressed that this is not an easy task for the Officers Union but it is feasible. “This is due to the fact that our instructors go through a tough selection and high-quality training,” explained the head of the Officers Union.

Ivanov specified that the number of Russian military instructors in the CAR will be increased gradually, in accordance with the plan. However, this plan is not subject to disclosure, he added.
