20.07.2022, Energodar.

Rescuers extinguished a fire on the territory of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant after attacks by Ukrainian drones, the civil-military administration of the Zaporozhye region informed on July 20.

According to the administration, 11 people were injured during the attack. They were hospitalized to nearby hospitals for treatment. The nuclear power plant is located in the Ukrainian city of Energodar.

Earlier, a member of the main council of the civil-military administration of the region Vladimir Rogov said that the fire broke out after the attack of the Ukrainian army. Several kamikaze drones with explosives fell on the territory of the plant.

“The Ukrainian punitive forces won’t succeed – a referendum will be held,” Rogov wrote, implying a referendum on the Zaporozhye region’s accession to Russia, the possibility of which had been announced earlier.
