The world has realized that the United States is abolishing the rules it had previously declared itself, dividing the world into authoritarian and democratic countries, philosopher, political analyst Sergey Kurginyan, leader of the Essence of Time movement said on May 12 in the radio program Dialogues on Komsomolskaya Pravda.
Kurginyan argues that now there is no unequivocal support in the world for the actions of the US against Russia, since many countries have realized that “they are actually not very willing to be taken into an equal existence with this very community of democratic states.”
The political scientist remarked that a “completely new reality” emerged after US President Joe Biden had said that the US would “divide the world into authoritarian and democratic countries.”
Kurginyan recalled the phrase “son of a bitch, but our son of a bitch” previously used in the West to justify authoritarian leaders.
“Didn’t American and Western thought use to develop the category of authoritarian modernization as a positive one? Didn’t Hannah Arendt say that authoritarianism is normal and totalitarianism is bad?” the leader of the Essence of Time said. He believes that authoritarianism has been demonized since US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice spoke at Cairo University, stating that “all our enemies will now be our friends and all our friends will now be our enemies.”
