Abandoning the dollar becomes possible for the first time after the West, primarily the US, at last broke all existing international norms, said philosopher, political scientist, the leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan on May 11 in an interview with BelTA.
Answering the question about how realistic it is to abandon the dollar as the world currency, the political scientist noted that “this becomes possible for the first time.” This happened due to those actions that the West has committed, primarily the US, violating all the rules of the game established by themselves, stressed Kurginyan.
“Has anyone provoked them into declaring China an enemy? So, they created this confrontation between democracy and authoritarianism; they launched a wild Russophobia campaign; and in the end, they violated all the rules of the game that they preach about?” the political scientist said.
With the arrest of Russia’s gold and foreign exchange reserves, the desire of Western countries to arrest the property associated with Russian businessmen, virtually all international norms have been canceled, pointed out Kurginyan.
“According to which rules can gold and foreign exchange reserves be seized in this fashion? Are these the rules? Which rules? Mob rules? Expropriations? What else do they say? What, next they will take away all the property? This is called the expropriation of the expropriators and so on. Is this their rule?” the political scientist said.
After such actions committed by the West, the global dominance of the dollar will inevitably be shattered – “the dollar cannot be legitimate with these kind of rules. It will be on its way out,” – Kurginyan explained.
The West will not slow down in breaking all established international norms, therefore, global rejection of the dollar will occur slowly, but inevitably, assures the leader of Essence of Time.
“This dollar abandoning will not happen automatically, but we are moving slowly in this direction – in the chronological sense, and rapidly – in the historical sense. And, in my opinion, it is inevitable and conclusive,” concluded the political scientist.
