On May 12, the head of the Chechen Republic Ramzan Kadyrov posted a video showing Russian and Chechen flags, as well as the Victory Banner, on a building in the village of Yuzhnoye in the Lugansk People’s Republic on his Telegram channel.

“Our banners now adorn the buildings in the village of Yuzhnoye. Another significant event was shared with us by the servicemen of Russia’s liberation army. Chechen military together with LPR People’s Militia servicemen systematically dismantled the enemy’s fortified positions and promptly denazified all representatives of the Ukrainian army,” the message reads.

Kadyrov stressed that units of the Russian army are gradually liberating the republic’s towns and villages from the Ukrainian nationalists.

“We will not rest until every ideological follower of Bandera gets what he deserves,” he summarized.

Earlier, Ramzan Kadyrov was one of the first to report the liberation of the village of Popasnaya. Later, the Russian Ministry of Defense confirmed that Popasnaya had been taken under Russian troops’ control.
